Following a reminder from Nestle USA, the big chain supermarkets such as Giant US, LLC and Food Markets Martin withdrew from the nut packaging shelves for chicken broth "Maggi". The cause of the withdrawal from the market, as revealed by the same multinational company, is wrong labeling that could potentially endanger the health of consumers who suffer from allergies to wheat. The company said in a statement that the nut packaging withdrawn from sale, did not report the presence of the allergen on the label that listed all the ingredients. As a precaution, Nestlé has decided to withdraw the lots • Maggi Chicken Bouillon, 6 Tabs, 2:43 oz., UPC 2800024795 and Maggi Chicken Bouillon, 12 Tabs, 4.86 oz., UPC 2800011567 with wrong labeling, warning consumers that "people who suffer from an allergy or sensitivity to wheat may run the risk of serious or life threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product." A allergy sufferers, in fact, shows John D'Agata, president of the "Door of Rights", may cause reactions such as itching in the mouth or nausea. In extreme cases, anaphylactic shock can not be ruled out.
